Sponsors

The Newcastle Poetry Prize is made possible by the generous support of its sponsors. The University of Newcastle provides over $20,000 in prize money and has been the major sponsor of the Prize since 2005. Newcastle City Council sponsors the printing of the annual anthology Newcastle City Council and has provided funding for over a decade. The Hunter Writers Centre coordinates the Prize each year.

The Newcastle Poetry Prize Coordinator reports to a committee comprised of representatives from the sponsoring and administering organisations, including Professor Kevin McConkey (University of Newcastle), Louise Duff (Newcastle City Council) and the Hunter Writers Centre Board.
